We have been recommended for funding from the California Natural Resources Urban Rivers Grant Program! The grant will fund arundo and other non-native woody invasives removal in our Arroyo Simi Habitat Restoration and Enhancement Project Phase II! This area is downstream of our Phase I project sites that already have arundo removal and revegetation projects in the works! We are so happy and excited that our work will be starting mid-fall!
Cal Fire 2016-17
SRAFPF Grant Progam
RCP received funding from CAL Fire to conduct hazardous fuel removal, specifically arundo, in 10 acres of the Arroyo Simi Creek. After the hazardous fuel is removed, RCP will then restore the 10 acres by planting native riparian plants that will benefit the creek and wildlife living in this habitat. RCP has received tremendous support from local agencies and the community. We look forward to sharing our project's progress with the public moving forward!
